  • April 10th, 2018 – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

LOCATION:

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

On June 12, 2016 a gunman entered Orlando’s Pulse nightclub and began firing on the crowd of hundreds who had gathered for Latin Night. Forty-nine people lost their lives and 53 others were injured in what would become the deadliest mass shooting on U.S. soil in modern history (prior to the Las Vegas Shooting).

The gunman held hostages inside the club for nearly three hours. When communication efforts broke down, law enforcement breached the building, and in a hail of gunfire the suspect was killed. The Orlando Police Department is proud to serve this community, which came together in the wake of tragedy to show the world that no act of terror can defeat us.
