VALLEY  SWAT is proud to offer Explosive Breaching for Law Enforcement

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Through classroom and practical instruction and exercises, this course will provide police officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct basic explosive breaching. The course is designed for those with little or no experience in handling explosives, and thus lays the groundwork for establishing and further enhancing your team’s explosive breaching program.

WHEN: April 17-21 (40 hours)

WHERE: Renton Police Dept., Renton, WA

PREREQUISITES: None (although this course is geared toward SWAT, it is open to all commissioned law enforcement)

COURSE CONTENT INCLUDES:

• Developing an explosive breaching policy
• ATF regulations, hazards, and safety
• Theory of explosive breaching
• Materials and equipment
• Documentation
• Charge calculations
• Building, placing, and firing of charges

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

• Long-sleeve BDU uniform, helmet, gloves, eye and ear protection, plate carrier with plates and/or soft body armor
