Event Details

The Washington State Tactical Officers’ Association is pleased to announce member training class for Law Enforcement in District 5.

PRESENTERS:

  • Jeremy Taylor, Kennewick PD, Tri City Reginal SWAT, Team Leader, Lead Firearms Instructor Mike Clark, Benton County SO, Tri City Reginal SWAT, Team Leader, Lead Firearms Instructor

TOPICS INCLUDE:

This course will consist of 8 hours of training that focuses on the
fundamentals of SWAT/patrol rifle and handgun marksmanship and how those transfer into tactical shooting for the officer.

  • Fundamentals of stance and grip
  • Confirmation of rifle zero and mechanical offset
  • Discussion of weapon platform, accessories, and gear placement
  • Malfunction drills
  • Reloads and transition drills
  • Positional shooting and support side shooting
  • Shooting on the move in a 360 degree
  • Dynamic pistol and rifle drills

DATES/TIMES:

  • September 8th, 2017 0800 – 1700 hours

WHO THIS EVENT IS FOR:

  • WSTOA Members & Commissioned LE

STUDENT EQUIPMENT:

  • Full kit or patrol gear, handgun and rifle with 3 magazines each. 250 rounds for both pistol and rifle ammo. There is no potable water, so bring water and snacks.
