Hard-Earned Lessons Learned by Our Peers Who Were There
The North American Active Assailant Conference (NAAAC) is the largest event in the world dedicated to improving emergency response to active violence and is considered by many past attendees to be the most informative and powerful training they’ve ever attended. The conference’s format features firsthand collaborative debriefs of past tragedies by representatives of the lead public safety agencies involved.

Pre-conferences are optional. Attendees may choose to attend one pre-conference, the general conference, or both with breakfast and lunch provided at no additional cost each day.
This Conference is intended for:
- Law Enforcement
- Fire Departments
- Emergency Medical Services
- Corporate Security
- Hospital Administrators and Providers
- Emergency Management Personnel
- Elected Officials
- Other Stakeholders
Conference organizers are also pleased to report continued collaboration with the National Tactical Officers Association as well as the Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio Tactical Officers Associations.
This event is being submitted to the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Bureau of Fire Services for use of approved funds as well as the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for 24 hours of approved Emergency Medical Services continuing education.
Please know the venue is extraordinary, attendance will be limited to 3,000 and all participants will need to pre-register. Given the sensitive nature of the information being shared, attendance will be restricted to the aforementioned personnel, on-site registration will not be permitted, credentials issued at check-in must be displayed at all times, and no media or recording devices will be permitted.
