Bus Assaults
 

Course Description:
This course is designed to expose students to techniques used in tubular assaults on city buses and school buses. A variety of topics will be covered, from intelligence gathering and scouting, team assignments, sniper initiated and contingency planning.

Instructor:
Mark Renninger of the METRO SWAT Team and Jeremy Jeske of the Spokane County SO SWAT Team will be the instructors for this course. Mark Renninger is a 12-year veteran with four years at Lakewood Police Department and 8 years with the Tukwila Police Department. He served on the regional Valley Special Response Team for 4 years as an entry team member and assistant team leader and 4 years with METRO SWAT as an entry team leader. During his tenure with Lakewood and Tukwila he has instructed in firearms, active shooter, less lethal, chemical munitions, patrol and SWAT tactics. Mark is also the District 1 Representative of the Washington State Tactical Officer’s Association, and an instructor for the WSCJTC/WSTOA SWAT Basic Course. Jeremy has been a member of the SCSO SWAT Team since 2001 and is currently the team leader. He also serves as District 5 Representative of the Washington State Tactical Officer’s Association, and an instructor for the WSCJTC/WSTOA SWAT Basic Course.

Student Equipment:
TacticalUniform/BDU
All individual tactical gear to include vest, helmet, gloves, eye and ear protection
Dedicated Sims weapon, 100 marking cartridges & full protective safety gear
